RESERVISTS STANDBY:Hurricane Milton is expected to cause catastrophic damage to Florida over the next few days. Please prepare to respond.
Dear Aaron,
Hurricane Milton continues to maintain catastrophic strength, and Hope Force is preparing to respond. The National Weather Service is predicting a high and dangerous storm surge, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall to impact the Gulf Coast of Florida Wednesday night.
The Hope Force Deployment Team is actively monitoring the storm and stands ready to deploy to impacted areas. We're asking all Reservists to pray and prepare to deploy.
Below is the latest satellite image of Hurricane Milton, as it continues to alternate between Category 4 and Category 5 status.
PREPARE TO DEPLOY
We are gathering as much information as possible about Milton and monitoring the situation. More information will follow, but right now we ask you to be prepared to serve in the coming weeks.
If you are available, please check your calendar and fill out the Reservist Scheduling Form. This lets us know your readiness to deploy, and we will send you a follow-up email with all the necessary details as they unfold.
There are more ways you can help as we wait for details: 1. Pray for protection for those who will be impacted by Hurricane Milton and the Hope Force team to respond with strength and wisdom. 2. Give toward the response to provide construction materials to tarp roofs, supplies to muck out flooded homes, and the operational costs such as food and fuel to support our teams and vehicles.
