Hi friend,

Did you know May is the #1 month for tornadoes across the U.S? In fact, 2025 has already seen well above the average number of tornadoes, and there are more to come.

On top of peak tornado season, hurricane season officially starts June 1st. This means millions of lives could be affected by disaster in the U.S. in the coming months, not to mention around the world. ๐Ÿ’” As threats rise, our team is getting prepared, and we want you to be prepared too.

In today's newsletter, we want to help you put knowledge and hope into action so you can stay safe and help others. We're grateful you're here and know that together, we can bring hope to a hurting world. ๐Ÿ™

Be Ready. Help Others Do the Same. ๐ŸŒช๏ธ

May averages the most tornado activity nationwide, and itโ€™s also high risk season for flash flooding as heavy rains overwhelm rivers and drain systems.

It's hard to know how to get ready for these scary situations. Do you flee before the storm comes? Do you hunker down and stay put?

And if you're not in an active tornado zone but your heart longs to help others, how do you help in an effective way?

There are a few things you can do right now to both prepare to stay safe and prepare to help:

  1. Donate now so Hope Force Reservists have all they need to deploy at a moment's notice.
  2. Get trained and join our Reservist team.
  3. Download our Tornado Preparedness Guide.
  4. Pray with us for safety, strength, and restoration after the storms pass.

When mere minutes make a difference, being informed and prepared could save your life. The Hope Force blog has a wealth of information on how to prepare for, survive, and recover from tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, and more. We want you to learn all you can and be ready! ๐Ÿ‘‰ Read the Hope Force Blog

In the meantime, here are some crucial tornado safety tips.

Compassion in Action Changes Lives

When a tornado tore through Seminole, Oklahoma in 2022, it left families like Duke, Alexis, and their five children in a heartbreaking situation.

This family, including two children with disabilities, have lived in a condemned 700 sq. ft. home since the tornado. With no insurance and limited income, rebuilding has been impossible, until now.

Hope Force has partnered with the City of Seminole to give this family a safe, secure home by the start of the 2025 school year, but we need your help!

Hope Force Reservists are coming to Seminole June 1-7 for a "BLITZ" week where it will be all hands-on-deck. The more volunteers we have, the faster Duke and Alexis can move in, and we want you to join us in Seminole.

If you have availability June 1-7, even just for a few days, please sign up here to help finish this house! Whether youโ€™re a master in a trade or can just swing a hammer, you are needed. We will be doing everything from finishing plumbing to flooring to building a handicap ramp for two of these precious children.

We also need to finish raising $35,000 to cover the final materials needed for this home. You can make a massive difference for this family when you give today.

๐Ÿ™ Thank You for Putting Hope Into Action

With every gift, every hour volunteered, and every prayer, you bring light to some of the darkest moments. Together, we are not just rebuilding homesโ€”weโ€™re restoring hope.

With gratitude,
-The Hope Force Team ๐Ÿ’™
