Hi friend,

Hurricanes, flash floods, tornadoes—these are just a few of the emergencies the Hope Force team has been responding to this month.

As hurricane season officially began on June 1st, we’re ramping up preparations to meet urgent needs wherever they arise. From Hurricane Erick’s destruction in Mexico to flash flooding across the U.S., disaster season is already in motion. Meanwhile, wildfire threats are growing across the dry western states.

This month, we’re responding where we’re needed most and preparing for what’s ahead. Amid the chaos, your support brings peace, relief, and the reminder that no survivor is forgotten. Thanks for being here. 💙

Flash Flooding in Wheeling, West Virginia

Just over a week ago, Wheeling, West Virginia was hit with flash flooding as 4 inches of rain fell in 30 minutes. Our team is on the ground now, partnering with locals to help save their homes and find hope again.

We’ve helped one homeowner whose basement was filled with four feet of muddy water. As we cleared debris and muck, what mattered just as much was simply being present—listening to his story and standing with him in the aftermath.

This community is resilient, but they have lost so much, including precious lives. Please keep praying, go with us if you can, and give if you're led. ❤️

Hope Home Progress in Seminole, Oklahoma

Our Reservists spent the first week of June working on a "Hope Home" for a deserving family in Seminole. Duke, Alexis, and their five children, including two who are disabled, have lived in a condemned structure since a 2022 tornado hit their home. Without insurance or means for repairs, they've remained in the damaged home, struggling to make ends meet through odd jobs.

But now, thanks to our partnership with the City of Seminole, they finally have a chance at a safe, stable home. From June 1-7th, twelve Reservists from around the country made major progress, from drywall and plumbing to floors and doors.

But our work can't continue until we’ve raised $25,000 needed to finish the home. Will you help us bridge the gap to bring this home to life and give today?

Hurricane Erick Devastation in Guerrero, Mexico

Our HFI Mexico team coordinator in Guerrero—situated on the west coast, south of Mexico City—is responding in communities affected by Hurricane Erick. This hurricane brought flooding, landslides, and collapsed infrastructure that have devastated Corraleros, Lagunilla, and La Estancia.

Families there are without food, water, electricity, or shelter. Many only have the clothes on their back and each other to lean on. As access improves, we’re preparing relief for those most impacted. In the meantime, please pray for all those who are trying to survive until help comes. 💔

One Year After Hurricane Beryl, HFI Mexico Still Bringing Help and Hope

Our Hope Force Mexico team spent three weeks on the island of Mayreau this month, faithfully serving alongside our key local partner, Eden’s Rest. They helped advance several critical projects, including completing a new warehouse that will sustain long-term outreach efforts for years to come.

In the final days of their deployment, the team even stepped in to assist local residents in containing a dangerous brushfire, preventing what could have been significant damage.

We’re incredibly grateful for their servant-hearted response and the example they’ve set. As we look ahead and prepare for hurricane season, Hope Force Mexico reminds us what it means to show up with compassion and resilience.

Storms don’t wait, but neither do we. There's no place we'd rather be than in the trenches with those who need to know that God loves them, and that they're not alone. Your gifts help our team do just that, and your constant prayers keep us going when things are hard. 💙
