Hope Force Reservists have been busy working to bring relief to areas like Seminole, Oklahoma, Haiti, and more. Here's your monthly update on how to pray and support Hope Force International!

Seminole, Oklahoma was already a chronic need area when 2 tornadoes ripped through the town in May of 2022. Survivors were left devastated with no resources to rebuild their lives.

Hope Force is committed to a long-term presence in Seminole to help rebuild this complex disaster zone (where a natural disaster made chronic need even worse). Here are some progress updates:

• Hope Force has two highly skilled teams coming over the next two weeks to get our first brand new home build in Seminole erected and "in the dry" on the new foundation that was built and poured last month. These teams will erect the walls that were pre-built in Nashville this past spring at Woodmont Christian Church, and then trucked to Seminole.
• God has provided powerful partnerships in Seminole to help rebuilding efforts go even faster. Here are some of our partners:

HOW TO HELP THE SEMINOLE PROJECT

Volunteer

• Get trained as a Hope Force Reservist and join us for a week of rebuilding in Seminole!
• Send your church group to rebuild homes and minister to survivors. This will be a powerful trip for your church team - just fill out the interest form below!
• Live near Seminole? Come help our Reservists for a day as a short-term volunteer. Just fill out the form below to let us know you want to help.

• Brian Wagner, the HFI Seminole Project leader, recently purchased a home in Seminole located in the most devastated area of the community. The team is refurbishing it as volunteer housing for teams who come serve. Our goal is to have it ready by 2025.

Earthquakes, hurricanes and an unsafe security situation. These are the challenges that the people of Haiti face, and Hope Force continues to respond.

Hope Force and our Haiti directors are actively working to provide food, build another latrine, and help manage our child sponsorship program from the U.S. But, it is heartbreaking to only visit sporadically, and for those visits to pose incredible personal danger. 💔

We have several prayer requests for Haiti so don't miss our Prayer Request section further down. And of course, as you pray, please consider giving to the Haiti project.

Numbers only tell part of the story! Since its founding, Hope Force has grown steadily and deployed to over 160 disasters, in 14 countries and 28 states with over 55,000 volunteer hours.

Thousands of lives have been impacted, hope has been restored, and entire communities have been inspired to believe in the possibility of a brighter future.

Hope Force is in a period of growth and expanding its impact to ensure even more communities receive the support they desperately need. Here's how we're doing it:

1. Increasing the number of trained responders
2. Deploying to more disaster sites
3. Expanding organizational infrastructure
4. Forging new partnerships

SEMINOLE, OKLAHOMA PRAYER REQUESTS 🙏

➡️ Pray for the people of Seminole who are still struggling to rebuild their homes.

➡️ Pray for discernment, opportunities, relationships, and operations as HFI helps rebuild Seminole long term.

➡️ Pray that God would bless the Seminole city officials who have truly committed to investing in their city and people as they continue rebuilding.

➡️ Please pray for funding to meet these great needs with limited community resources.

➡️ Finally, pray for the hearts of volunteers who come to serve in Seminole, that they would fall in love with the people and place, and demonstrate God's love for those in need!

HAITI PRAYER REQUESTS 🙏

➡️ Please pray for the overall security situation for the HFI team and the people we serve. Gangs have been trying to move into some of the rural communities close to the Hope Force base. The police are trying to combat the bandits and thankfully, our immediate area is relatively calm at the moment.

➡️ Pray for the many Haitians, including many children, who are displaced from their homes and facing famine and hunger.

➡️ Pray for the upcoming school year! There's a huge challenge to obtain school supplies for the 200+ children in the Child Sponsorship Program (CSP). As the roads to the city are closed, extra finances are needed to get the supplies to our area.

➡️ Pray that the HFI Haiti team would have wisdom to see if we can help displaced people. A recent alarm was sent out by local organizations and local media that people are hungry and have no other place to go, and at the moment, they are in a school facility.
